The current and past means of storing poultry litter and of manufacturing it as a fertility source for agricultural purposes has, and is, being challenged by various agencies - local, state, and national - who are accusing current producers of allowing the toxic elements of poultry litter to pollute aquifers.
Creative Chicken Corporation, on the other hand, has developed and refined a process to deodorize, sanitize, and stabilize the litter in an environmentally safe way in the production of fertilizer for commercial and residential use to allow poultry farmers to protect their livelihood while at the same time being stewards of the environment and staying out of the courthouse.
Product has been widely accepted and sold through Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware Group, and many others whose demand for product outstripped the original facility's 40 tons per day capacity. Present demands require 150-200 tons per hour capacity. Happily, the raw material for this production is readily available inasmuch as each source provides an average of 120-140 tons of material for production.
